Sorry if this topic is nt in an appropriate spot. Maybe it should go in "Health and Wellness?" Anyway, what's your favorite scent of smell-goods for your room or house? I currently just have scented candles that I activate using a candle-warmer. My favorites are: cinnamon, vanilla, lavender and peach and apple cobbler. I currently don't burn incense as I don't know how I would light it being that my husband and I are both blind; but I do love incense and wish I knew what kind I liked. Ilove the way they smell, but I don't know the names of the scents that I like. I basically like pot-pouri made from dried orange peels and apple peels sprinkled with cinnamon and placed in a mesh bag. Those smell the best to me. My favorite brand of room-odorizers is Glade, and I really enjoy anything of theirs that's not floral. So, what's yours?

Hi, I love to change my candles with the seasons. I love candles, I have some sight, and they give off a wonderful light that's very warm and inviting. As far as scents, I love honeydew melon, apple pie, coconut, and lots of other fruity scents. As far as incense, I love scents like sandalwood and ocean kinds. I don't really have any tips for lighting incense, but I can see when the flame is lit. Try holding the very tip of one next to a lit lighter. You'll probably be able to hear when it lights. Warning, you may want to put your hair back while you try this and place a piece of paper down to catch the ash. I like incense, but it can be a bit messy, so I make sure to light it and place it in a burner that will catch all the ash. I also love the smell of original Febreeze.

i also love candles that are scented and use a candle warmer. i don't like to light them as I hve pets and the flame thing you know.... as for incense, i find that the cone kkind is easier to light then the stick kind. gosh i haven't light any in like 25 years. do they still make it in cones? anyway, alsways put in a dish or whatever to catch the ashes. i am a big fan of the bick lighter rather then the match for lighting anything

Yeah, I like Yankee candles as well as HOme Interriors candles. Yes, they still make cone incense. For those interested in lighting candles, straighten the wick till it's pointing upwards. This might make the candle a bit easier to light.

What makes the cone incense easier to light? I love my candle warmer. I have a toddler and I'm paranoid that he's gonna knock the candle on himself, so that helps ease my mind a little. I've never heard of Yankee Candles. Can you shop with them online? That would be really nice.

Yes, I think you can buy Yankee candles online. If you can' t find an official site, you can check out sites like Ebay or Amazon, I think they carry them. Also, when lighting incense or candles, I find it easier to use a long lighter, kind of like the kind you'd use to light a grill. this is especially good for lighting candles that are in jars or other containers. Plus, you can adjust the hight of the flame. Again, I have some sight, so this is relatively easy for me to do.
